Stephanie graduated from McMaster University in 2021 with her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Acadia University.
Throughout her studies, she had a growing interest in pelvic health and knew that she wanted to pursue her education further after graduation. Stephanie has completed courses in urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain with a trauma informed lens as well as culturally safe care for trans people in physiotherapy. She is passionate about working holistically with her clients using a biopsychosocial
framework.
Stephanie is the Newsletter Editor for the Women’s Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, where she is able to collaborate with and learn from physiotherapists across Canada.
Stephanie uses manual therapy, exercise and education, to support her clients through their health journey. She strives to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and inspired to reach their personal goals. Erika has been a physiotherapist since 1995, having worked in many different countries and within many different specializations. She found her niche of pelvic physiotherapy, after having a particularly pesky pelvis during her first pregnancy in 2006. Since that time, she has devoted herself to understanding the biomechanics of the pelvic region and how physiotherapy approaches can bring relief for bladder, bowel and sexual function disorders and pelvic, hip and low back pain syndromes.
Erika holds a Masters degree and has completed all but her dissertation of her PhD. She received the Governor General’s Gold Medal as top graduate student and was awarded the prestigious Killam Scholar award. To advance her manual skills, Erika completed training as a manual osteopath. Erika has received advanced level certification in the treatment of incontinence, urgency and voiding problems, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder pain syndromes, sexual pain syndromes, ano-rectal disorders, pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy, pediatric urinary and bowel dysfunctions and most recently, treatment of lactation difficulties in both mother and baby. Amy completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2019. Prior to pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Amy worked as a kinesiologist after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and Biology from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016.
After a wide variety of work experience in areas including acute care rehabilitation, geriatrics, orthopedics, and cardiopulmonary rehab, Amy has made the exciting decision to persue her career in pelvic health. She has completed her post-graduate training certification to become a pelvic health physiotherapist and follow her passion to treat pelvic health dysfunction.
Recently, Amy has completed her teacher training in Clinical Pilates with a focus in pelvic health. Amy thoroughly enjoys teaching classes incorporating breathing techniques for pelvic floor mobility and promoting function.
Amy’s interest in pelvic health lies in her personal relationship with pelvic floor physiotherapy, after working through pelvic health issues of her own. Her goal is help others gain knowledge and support around their health issues, and to build a trusting and comfortable rapport with her patients. Andrea has been a physiotherapist for over twenty years. She takes a very thorough and caring approach in her assessments and treatments, in order to connect with her clients. She takes the time to listen to them and understand how their function has been affected by their symptoms. She enjoys working together with the client to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Andrea graduated in 2003 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Following graduation, she worked in private practice with a focus on orthopaedics. Katherine graduated from a 2200hr massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Halifax (2012).
She has a passion for supporting individual and family health and wellness. She attended college knowing her focus would be perinatal health and this has evolved to include more pelvic heath work over the last few years.
Previously, Katherine earned a double major in Psychology & Women’s Studies from Acadia University (2005). She worked for several years as a transition home worker for women and children fleeing abuse, and later as a foster care worker supporting foster families to ensure they had the support and resources they needed most. This role also required Katherine to help match children to families who could best suit their care.
A few years later she changed paths to study massage therapy and graduated with honours and an award from the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia for her professionalism and patient care.
Katherine completed birth doula training through DONA International with the Chebucto Family Centre (2013) and further expanded her massage skills while supporting families in the Halifax area through birth and early postpartum.
Katherine has advanced certificates in pre and postnatal care and was trained by Erika Burger through the RMT Approaches for Pelvic Pain & Dysfunction course.
Katherine has teaching experience at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in coursework related to hands-on clinical skills, initial assessment practice, and a specialized pregnancy/postpartum clinic working with senior students.

A graduate of the 2200 hour, ICT program in St John’s, NL, Denise has been practicing Massage Therapy since 2007. While Denise appreciates the relaxing component of her practice, she is most inspired by the therapeutic benefits massage offers. Denise has spent years honing her skills and expanding her professional interests by completing courses including the RMT Approaches for Pelvic Pain and Dysfunction. Most recently, Denise completed training in breast/chest surgeries.
In what felt like a natural expansion to her massage practice, she completed yoga teacher training at the Chopra Center in California in 2013. Additionally, she completed postpartum yoga training along with restorative and rehabilitative yoga workshops.

Jenny Roy wears two hats at our clinic, serving both pelvic health and pediatric clients. She treats adult (assigned female at birth) pelvic health concerns, pediatric clients aged 0-18, and pediatric pelvic health clients (all genders).
Jenny graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2017 after completing her undergrad in Kinesiology at Acadia University.
She developed an interest in pelvic health when working as a pediatric physiotherapist, inspired by the mothers that accompanied their little ones, and by the little ones who experienced bowel and bladder dysfunction. She is also passionate about helping babies, children and teenagers of all ability-levels achieve their true potential.
Jenny has completed courses in urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain/dyspareunia, anorectal disorders, pelvic organ prolapse, pediatric pelvic health, pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, physiotherapy for infants, dynamic core for kids, and pediatric yoga.

Dr. Rebecca Wynn was born and raised in New Brunswick. Her early interest and participation in sports led her to complete a Bachelor in Kinesiology from Acadia University. She continued and obtained a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). During her studies she completed a certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University.
Dr. Wynn has a particular interest in sport injuries as well as perinatal and paediatric care. She has dedicated herself to furthering her knowledge through continuing education in courses such as concussion management, pre and post natal rehab, and paediatric care. She is a Sport First Responder, an ambassador with GrowCo and is certified in The Webster Technique.

Amy is a certified trauma-informed practitioner who prides herself on delivering holistic, empathetic, bespoke, evidence-based care. She has a special interest in helping individuals of all genders living with chronic pelvic pain, which stems from her own experiences living with endometriosis. She has advanced training in the assessment and treatment of multiple pelvic pain conditions impacting bowel, bladder, sexual, and gynecologic function.
